A. General Conditions for Grants
- The Foundation supports individuals of Chinese nationality who reside of or temporarily stay in Denmark in order to accomplish a higher education (documented matriculation as Ph.D. student or similar degree).
- Grants are primarily given to scientific studies - including medicine. Applicants who are already studying at an institute of higher education in Denmark and who have already obtained support from Danida or similar organisations are preferred.
- S. C. Van Fonden cannot take upon itself to help with applications for entry visa and residence permit or with payment of travelling expenses.
- The duration of financial support does not normally exceed one year. If financial support is sought for first or second year's Ph.D. study, confirmation is required for financial support from other sources for the remainder of the period of study.
- Furthermore, in certain cases support is granted for promotion of art and culture relating to both China and Denmark.
- The Foundation also supports Danes who study in China on similar conditions.
