In accordance with its charter, S. C. Van Fonden may support promotion of cultural and other connections between China and Denmark. The foundation may support promotion of the interest for Chinese language, social conditions, art and culture in Denmark by supporting promotions of education, exhibitions and lectures, purchase of artefacts, publication of books etc.
The foundation may support individuals of Chinese origin who reside or temporarily stay in Denmark in order to accomplish a higher education. Chinese origin includes individuals born in Denmark or in East Asian countries to Chinese parents. In addition, the Foundation may support Danes’ studies in and scientific relations with China.
The Foundation may finally support deserving employees of Daloon A/S, should he or she due to old age, illness or for other special reasons be needy of such support. This support may also be granted to widows/widowers of employees or their minor children. The support may, following a board decision, be granted as a one-off payment or as a recurring payment over a longer period. The support may only be granted to employees etc., who have been employed at the time when the company was owned by the founder or one of his descendants.
